FAW Volkswagen was established in 1991 and is a large-scale passenger vehicle production enterprise jointly operated by China First Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Volkswagen AG, Audi AG, and Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd. It is the first modern passenger vehicle production enterprise in China to start construction according to economic norms. After years of development, FAW Volkswagen's production capacity layout has covered Changchun in Northeast China, Chengdu in Southwest China, Foshan in South China, Qingdao in East China, and Tianjin in North China. It has more than 30 products from three major brands: Volkswagen, Audi, and Jetta, and has become a mature production enterprise in China that covers the entire series of A, B, and C class passenger car models.
